Changes in delivery policy have come about since the end of the Brexit transition period in December 2020 which created a ‘sea border’ between GB and Northern Ireland.
We are currently in a limited ‘grace period’ expected to end on 1st April 2021 businesses who serve Northern Ireland from GB may need to fill out customs declarations for deliveries. The future requirement for extra paperwork to serve the smaller NI market has led some retailers to suspend service to Northern Ireland either temporarily or permanently.
